Robert M. Friedland
Robert is the Chairman and CEO of HPX. He also is the founder and Executive Chairman of Ivanhoes Mines; founder of Turquoise Hill Resources; founder of Diamond Fields Resources; and founder and Chairman of Ivanhoe Capital Corporation. Robert has received wide recognition for his work in the mining industry including Dealmaker of the Year for Ivanhoe Mines from Australia’s Diggers and Dealers Mining Forum in 2011; Mining Personality of the Year at the inaugural Asia Mining Awards in 2012; inductee to the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame in 2016 and the recipient of two inaugural Thayer Lindsley Awards.
Laurent is an electrical engineer knighted by the French Government for his services to the country. In 2005, Laurent decided to advance commercial applications of pulsed power by co-founding private US company I-Pulse with Robert Friedland. I-Pulse is the parent company of HPX.
Egizio is the Executive Vice Chairman and a Director of Ivanhoe Mines. With more than 30 years’ experience in the metals and mining financial services sector, Egizio has an extensive track record in advising a wide range of metals and mining companies around the world and in structuring and executing initial public offerings and other capital raisings. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science (Geology) degree from the University of Toronto.
Livia has been a director of Ivanhoe Mines since March 2015. She is also President and Chief Executive Officer of Computational Geosciences of Vancouver, Canada.
Ian is Emeritus Professor at the University of Melbourne where he was formerly Professor and Head (1991 - 2005). He was also Professor of Geology at the University of Newcastle (1985 - 1991) and Professor of Mining Geology at the University of Adelaide (2005 - 2012).
Patrick is a director and CEO of Chow Tai Fook Enterprises; and a director of Chow Tai Fook Holdings and Cheng Yu Tung Charitable Foundation.
Kenneth is currently a Senior Vice President of Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited. Prior to joining CTFE in December 2014, Kenneth was a co-founder and Managing Director at Pinnacle Real Estate Capital Partners and was a Director in charge of China acquisitions at Aetos Capital LLC. Kenneth began his career at Lehman Brothers where he worked at the Global Real Estate Group and the Investment Banking Division.
