HPX is exploring the Tinajas project, a high potential copper-gold porphyry prospect in the low elevation coastal desert of southern Peru. HPX is undertaking exploration at Tinajas through a joint venture with Teck Resources, where HPX has the right to earn 65% of the project.
Drilling through cover at Tinajas has encountered porphyry-type copper-gold mineralisation, with the best results encountered near a number of small outcrops containing porphyry stockwork. This stockwork has never been drill tested.
HPX flew an airborne magnetic survey in 2016, which has identified a compelling magnetic target that coincides precisely with the interpreted center of the porphyry system, and the aforementioned undrilled stockwork.
This is a binary drill target with favourabe odds of success that will be efficiently evaluated using the HPX technology under the technical team’s leadership.
